CarePath™ Services for Patients

CarePath provides unique tools to assist you in learning about your health, so you can take a more active role in understanding and planning your medical care.

Pre-Procedure Guides help you understand and prepare for diagnostic testing procedures, such as biopsies or blood tests that are ordered by your physician. Your physician will give you a Pre-Procedure Guide before you have a diagnostic procedure, allowing you time to review the materials and ask questions about the procedure, what you need to do to prepare for it, or what you can expect to happen afterwards.

Patient Counseling Reports provide you with important health information when it is most needed – at the time of diagnosis. The Patient Counseling Report is delivered to your physician along with your test results from DIANON. Your physician can use the report to help explain to you your diagnosis and treatment options. The report is yours to keep and review whenever you wish, and it also includes self-management tips and other information important to people who have recently been diagnosed with a health problem.

CarePathOnLine Support Center (www.carepathonline.com) is a patient-focused Web site that provides comprehensive information about specific health problems. CarePathOnLine helps you learn about your health problems, including how they are diagnosed, the current standards of care for disease management, and new treatments being studied in clinical trials.
